Speaking with TOI after visiting Dr Gangubai Hangal's place of dwelling in Deshpande Nagar, Vidushi, who won the Mallikarjun Mansur Samman, mentioned that track, artwork and yoga must prominently determine at school syllabi.
Shruti mentioned that Dr Gangubai Hangal used to be an idol for classical track artistes. "She was very down to earth. I met her several times along with my father Vamanrao who is also a renowned artiste of classical music. My last meeting with Dr Gangubai Hangal was when she was selected for the Padma Vibhushan," she mentioned.
She used to be a mom, sister and guru to everybody in classical track, mentioned Vidushi.
Babuao Hangal, Manoj Hangal and others welcomed her and explained in regards to the museum of classical track maintained by means of Dr Gangubai Hangal Music Foundation.
