Territorial integrity of Assam will not be compromised: Rajnath Singh

GUWAHATI: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday confident Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal that state's territorial integrity may not be compromised when the final Naga peace accord is signed.

Singh's assurance came within the wake of violence in Dima Hasao district of Assam ultimate week that left two individuals lifeless whilst protesting over the call for for a "Greater Nagalim" and reported move to include portions of the district within the proposed Nagalim.


"The Union Home Minister assured that the territorial integrity of Assam will be fully protected. There should be no apprehension in anyone's mind," Sonowal mentioned whilst calling upon the people of the state to take care of peace and harmony.


Sonowal has also invited more than a few organisations of the Dima Hasao district for a gathering in a bid to diffuse tension and in addition to tell them in unequivocal terms about the state and the Centre's stand at the factor.
