No private school in Odisha has government NOC

BHUBANESWAR: Not a single personal school in Odisha has were given the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the state executive to run the universities. Private schools from across the state have alleged that the state executive has been sitting over their programs for granting the NOC.
“Almost all 6000 schools have applied on-line seeking NOC from the federal government. But after March 2017 executive has not issued NOC to a single school, for reasons best possible recognized to the federal government. We have reminded the state executive about it however to no avail,” stated chairman of Confederation of Odisha Public Schools, B N Patnaik.

The schools stated, they had uploaded all required data and paperwork in regards to the school in OPEPA web site including infrastructure, faculty main points, rate structure, amenities and images. At maximum places Block Education Officers have completed the inspection of colleges, however the NOC is yet to be launched.

“In case of CBSE affiliated schools there's no want for inspection or verification as the central board has already issued them NOC after right kind inspection. But the state executive is sitting over it,” Patnaik added.


As in keeping with the Right to Education Act 2009 all schools should download an NOC from the federal government within three years of the formation of the act or will stop to serve as.


On the other hand officers in the school and mass training department stated lots of the schools have not fulfilled the desired standards and feature been issued display motive realize.


“Apart from a few schools lots of the schools have did not fulfil the desired standards beneath the RTE Act. We have given them a cut-off date to fulfil the norms and follow once more,” stated director of elementary training Chudamani Seth.


Parents also alleged that due to loss of tracking mechanism of the state executive personal schools violating the norms. Following allegations of exorbitant rate hike in personal schools the state executive has recently formed a six-member Fee Regulatory Committee, which can make a decision the fees in personal schools, sources stated.
