Flight lands in Vadodara on medical emergency

VADODARA: A Kochi-bound flight from Ahmedabad with 150 passengers was diverted to the Vadodara airport as of late due to a scientific emergency on board.

The flight made an emergency landing and the in poor health passenger, who had suffered a cardiac arrest, was straight away rushed to the state government-run Sir Sayajirao normal sanatorium.

However, the passenger was declared brought useless, an airport legitimate said.

"The 38-year-old passenger had complained of uneasiness in chest following which the plane was diverted to Vadodra airport where it made an emergency landing," the legitimate said.


Airport government had made the entire arrangements including a '108 ambulance' for rushing the passenger to the sanatorium and provide him scientific help at the earliest on landing of the aircraft, the legitimate added.


The deceased was one of the most individuals of agroup of 35 other folks travelling together that integrated a health care provider who provided medicaltreatment to the passengerin the aircraft, in keeping with the legitimate.


IndiGo spokesperson was no longer available for comments.


The stranded flight took off for its destination at round 1600 hours, the legitimate added.
