Coimbatore: The 19th version of the MRF MoGrip FMSCI National Supercross ( dirt-bike racing) Championship 2018 draw motorsports fanatics in masses to the Codissia grounds at Peelamedu on Sunday.
More than 50 motorbike riders from throughout India took phase in eight different classes similar to SX1 (up to 250cc two-stroke and 500cc four-stroke), SX2 (up to 250cc two-stroke and 500cc four-stroke), Junior SX1 (up to 260cc), Junior SX2 (up to 260cc), Indian Experts Class (two/4 stroke, up to 260cc), Expert Class (two/4 stroke, up to 260cc), Novice Class (two/4 stroke, up to 260cc) and Locals Class (two/4 stroke, up to 260cc).
The dirt track offered tough challenge to the racers. Two global elegance stunt artists, Shaun Webb from Australia and Callum Shaw from New Zealand, showcased their mind-blowing stunts.
The first two rounds of the championship have been held in Kochi and Goa. The fourth spherical shall be held in Jaipur on September 9.
