Electronic interlocking work at Amritsar station: Train traffic to remain hit from July 17 to August 1

AMBALA: Several trains will stay cancelled, while some will probably be short terminated or short originated due to electronic interlocking paintings at Amritsar station in Firozepur division of Northern Railway (NR) from July 17 to July 31.



Public relations officer, Northern Railways, Kultar mentioned that the trains towards Amritsar would stay affected due to the continued building works. He mentioned they were certain that the paintings could be finished in the allotted time and the trains would run smoothly again.

Kultar added that to be able to further toughen the infrastructure, NR would undertake the electronic interlocking paintings at the Amritsar station and to execute this, NR would take traffic blocks as much as August 1.

Trains to stay cancelled as in keeping with this time table

As in keeping with the guidelines equipped via the NR, following trains will stay cancelled between July 19 to August 1.

Nangal Dam - Amritsar – Nangal Dam (14505/14506) from July 19 to 31.

Chandigarh - Amritsar – Chandigarh (12411/12412) from July 19 to 31.

New Delhi – Amritsar – New Delhi (12460/12459) from July 19 to 31.

Jalandhar City – New Delhi – Jalandhar City (14682/14681) from July 19 to 31.

Saharsa – Amritsar Jansewa Express (15209) from July 19 to 30.

Amritsar – Saharsa Jansewa (15210) from July 26 to 31.

Dharbanga – Amritsar Jannayak Express (15211) from July 24 to 29.

Amritsar – Darbhanga Jannayak Express (15212) from July 20 to 31.

Chandigarh – Amritsar Superfast Express (12241) from July 25 to 31.

Amritsar – Chandigarh Superfast Express (12242) from July 26 to August 1.

Trains from Amritsar towards Pathankot (54611/14), Hisar (54601/02) will stay cancelled from July 21 to 31. Trains from Hisar – Ludhiana – Hisar (54605/06) will stay cancelled from July 22 to 31, and Hisar – Ludhiana – Hisar (54603/04) from July 23 to 31.
