Chief postmaster general Ok Balasubramaian on Sunday launched a distinct postal duvet featuring photographs of several species found in Singanallur lake right through an tournament arranged to mark the primary anniversary of the declaration of the lake as an urban biodiversity conservation zone.
Speaking at the occasion, Balasubramanian mentioned that the duvet will lend a hand to create more consciousness about the importance of the lake.
“It will maintain the memory of the anniversary. It has footage of various species on the left facet and a stamp with an image of species in lake on the proper facet. The backside accommodates information about the lake,” a postal department reputable mentioned.
Municipal management minister SP Velumani, who won the duvet, mentioned more than three,000 corporation faculty students have been educated about the rich biodiversity in the region. TNN
