Nagpur: A dispute has damaged out over eligibility situation for contractor within the delicate for construction of one,024 flats at a value of Rs 237 crore beneath Smart City Project. East Nagpur MLA Krishna Khopde has demanded that the special function automobile Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Ltd (NSSCDCL) must relax eligibility conditions for individuals who can bid for the work.
NSSCDCL has proposed to construct three apartment blocks for rehabilitation of project affected individuals (PAPs). Two had been deliberate at Bharatwada and one at Pardi. NSSCDCL floated delicate construction of 3 structures in November closing 12 months. Pre-bid assembly used to be held in the similar month. NSSCDCL issued a corrigendum in December and extended time for submission of bids from December 7 to 29. It gained only one bid, the date used to be extended to January 7.
Sources in Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) advised TOI NSSCDCL had positioned a situation the contractor must have experience of having built 300 flats of which 100 must be the use of MIVAN era. Another situation is the corporate must have executed equivalent works price Rs 197 crore. And, these works must had been executed for any government division. “Khopde has demanded NSSCDCL will have to permit firms having experience from government or personal contracts,” sources stated.
NSSCDCL reportedly refused to accept Khopde’s demand and has endured the process with similar conditions. Khopde has lodged a written criticism in opposition to NSSCDCL with municipal commissioner Abhijit Bangar.
Khopde in truth advised TOI that NSSCDCL used to be looking to favour a particular company. “NSSCDCL held pre-bid assembly in November and didn't trade any situation. On December 7, NSSCDCL issued a corrigendum relaxing situation of Rs 197 crore to Rs 142 crore. NSSCDCL must have issued corrigendum after pre-bid assembly but it used to be executed later. The unmarried bid got here best after corrigendum. It means situation used to be at ease to favour a particular company,” he alleged.
NSSCDCL reputable denied Khopde’s allegation. “Condition of Rs 197 crore used to be as according to tips of central vigilance committee. Condition of Rs 142 crore is as according to state PWD’s tips. We have adopted government tips. It used to be at ease to get better reaction to the delicate. NSSCDCL leader govt officer is having the power to amend conditions,” he stated.
Chances of project getting behind schedule due to controversy cannot be ruled out. Housing project is very crucial for beginning work on Smart City Project. Also, Khopde’s cooperation for the project is will have to as it falls in his constituency.
