CHIKKAMAGALURU: A tiger was spotted at Halasur village close to Balehonnur town of the district on Sunday. The tiger was discovered walking on the Balehonnur-Halasuru road. The image of the tiger was taken through a woodland department team of workers who was driving on the road.
According to the woodland department sources, tigers had been spotted in the area repeatedly. "They are very familiar. They were found even in the camera traps installed by the forest department in the area. But till now these tigers haven't attacked any human being or cattle," mentioned a woodland department official.
"The tiger wasn't traced again since Sunday," mentioned government.
Meanwhile, the tiger recognizing created rigidity among the locals who worry that the large cat would possibly assault them throughout night time time. "Tiger population is very high in this area. We hope they will not attack human beings," mentioned Padmanabha Gurikar, a resident of NR Pura.
