Murder case registered in death of 10-yr-old Dahod girl

Vadodara: Dahod police has registered an offence of homicide after the invention of body of a 10-year-old girl close to the Randhikpur village on Tuesday night time. The police has not ruled out the potential for the girl being raped.

The girl had long past missing on Tuesday morning and could not be found during the day regardless of efforts via the circle of relatives. Her body was found on Tuesday night time from shrubs at an isolated position. The Randhikpur police was knowledgeable in regards to the incident.

After recovering the body, the police despatched it to the SSG Hospital at Vadodara for an post-mortem. While the post-mortem showed that the girl was murdered, the medical doctors didn't conclude if she was raped. Samples have been despatched for forensic analysis to confirm this. It is assumed that the girl could have been smothered to dying.

The police is yet to identify any accused within the case. The homicide offence was registered on Thursday after the post-mortem file. Earlier, the police had registered the incident as an unintended dying and started investigations.
