HYDERABAD: Jubilee Hills police seized Rs 1.49 crore money from two persons all through the car take a look at close to Peddamma Temple on Saturday night time.

At 8pm, Jubilee Hills police team carried out car checking as part of election similar bandobust at Peddamma temple and intercepted a Honda Activa scooter.


“Police found two bags in the ownership of 2 persons on the scooter and when the luggage have been opened, Rs 1.49 crore money was found. As the 2 persons may not provide any documents concerning the foundation of the cash, the cash was seized,” Jubilee Hills inspector Balakrishna Reddy stated.


The two persons on the scooter, Gopinath, 47, an accountant from Adikmet and his relative, Raghavendar, 32, a tool engineer from Adikmet have been wondered by way of the police. “The duo stated that they gathered the cash from an actual property businessman, Ramesh close to Peddamma temple and taking it to their homes at Adikmet. We will quit the cash along side other relevant details to Income Tax officials for further investigation,” the inspector stated.
