SpiceJet flight veers off runway at Bengaluru airport, all fliers safe

BENGALURU: A SpiceJet flight, that arrived from Hyderabad, veered off the runway at Bengaluru Airport on Friday night time causing damage to four runway lights.

"During landing roll, the aircraft veered off to the left and was aligned to the central line by pilot. The jet taxied normally to the bay. All the passengers and baggage were deplaned in a normal manner," mentioned a commentary from SpiceJet.


An airport legit mentioned the airplane, while taxiing after touchdown, broken a few runway lights. As the runway was once closed from 2247 hours to 2328 hours, no less than ten flights had been diverted. Eight flights had been diverted to Chennai and one every to Trichy and Coimbatore, consistent with the airport legit.


"The flight SG 1238 was operated with a Q400 aircraft. During landing roll, the aircraft veered off to the left and was aligned to the central line by the pilot. It taxied normally to the bay. However, four runway lights got damaged," read the commentary by SpiceJet.


The airways mentioned all the passengers and luggage had been deplaned in a regular method. There was once no damage to the plane.
