Two arrested over bomb hoax call to Chennai airport

CHENNAI: A bomb threat name to the airport here became out to be a hoax and two persons have been arrested in this connection, police said on Monday.
The name used to be gained on the police keep an eye on room ultimate evening with the caller claiming that one Sakthi Saravanan had instructed him that he used to be going to plant a bomb on the world terminal here, they said.

The data used to be right away passed directly to airport police and a probe published that the threat used to be a hoax, police said.


The telephone name used to be traced to Pallikaranai space here and in a swift motion a unique team nabbed two persons -- known as Deepu Anand, who made the decision, and his pal Sakthi Saravanan, within an hour.


During investigation, Anand claimed that Saravanan had taken money from him in return for a job on the airport but didn't honour it.


Anand wanted to show him a lesson and called the police keep an eye on room, telling them that Saravanan had shared with him plans of planting a bomb on the airport.


The two persons were produced prior to an area court docket on Monday and remanded to judicial custody.
