AHMEDABAD: Gujarat has been recording an alarming rise in swine flu circumstances. The last 5 days from January 23 onwards have observed a mean of more than 40 circumstances reported per day. The state has till January 27 registered 572 circumstances and 20 deaths from swine flu.
The state had on January 22 registered eight deaths and 357 circumstances, but since then 12 more deaths and 215 circumstances had been reported.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation registered 110 circumstances in the first 27 days and best two deaths. The AMC’s scientific health officer Bhavin Solanki stated, “The week ending on Sunday noticed over 40 circumstances and no deaths.” Solanki stated that in Ahmedabad there are more circumstances of patients older than 30 years. Unlike past years, more youngsters have been also affected by swine flu.
Jayanti Ravi the state health commissioner stated the state health division has evaluated the situation and found that the number of deaths towards circumstances was once much lower than that in different states. She stated the state is taking all precautions to be sure that once a affected person is admitted he or she gets the most efficient possible remedy. Meanwhile, two more patients including a resident of Alkapuri house in Vadodara city and a resident of Dahod succumbed to swine flu on Monday taking the whole death toll due to H1N1 virus to seven in Vadodara district from beginning of this year. Officials stated that around 40% circumstances have been reported from the three municipal companies of Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Rajkot. There has been a spike in the circumstances in three municipal companies aside from Kutch.
