VADODARA: Activist Gulab Rajput, who used to be attacked at his store on the night of March 10, has registered a case of try to murder in opposition to the accused identified as Sanjay Savaara. Interestingly, Sanjay too has filed a case of attack in opposition to three to four unidentified persons who had thrashed him after he attacked Rajput. The police mentioned that it is investigating the case from all angles and will question Rajput and Sanjay.
Rajput in his complaint advised the police that Sanjay had visited his handicrafts store on January nine and inquired about some merchandise. He had presented to shop for some goods however left as he didn’t have enough cash. On the afternoon of March 10, when Rajput wasn’t on the store in Shamal Becharji ni Pol, Sanjay again came there and inquired about Rajput. Rajput son advised Sanjay that his father will come to the store later.
In the night Sanjay arrived on the store with two other males who waited outside. Rajput advised the police that Sanjay first inquired about the merchandise and then requested him if he doesn’t have any worker in the store. Within moments, Sanjay requested Rajput to hand over his gold chain, wristwatch and ring. When Rajput resisted, Sanjay took out a knife from his pocket and attacked him.
Rajput suffered grievous accidents on his neck and shoulder following which he raised alarm and ran out of the store. Locals rushed to lend a hand Rajput and caught cling of Sanjay who attempted to flee. He used to be thrashed by means of the locals leading to accidents on his head. Sanjay has filed complaint in opposition to two to 3 unidentified males who assaulted him. Rajput, who used to be operated on in a private hospital on Sunday evening, is in strong condition.
“We have arrested Sanjay. He is a labourer and our investigations have proven that Sanjay had finished recce of Rajput’s store.
