NEW DELHI: After Naresh Goyal's departure from Jet Airways, Vijay Mallya repeated his be offering again on Tuesday and suggested PSU (public sector) banks to take his money as it could assist them to save lots of cash-stripped Jet.
Goyal at the side of his spouse Anita stepped down on Monday following which lenders agreed to pump in Rs 1,500 crore to bail out the financially bothered airline.
In a chain of tweets posted in the early hours, Mallya mentioned, "Happy to see that PSU Banks have bailed out Jet Airways saving jobs, connectivity and enterprise. Only wish the same was done for Kingfisher."
Repeating his be offering, Mallya added, "I have placed liquid assets before the Hon’ble Karnataka High Court to pay off the PSU Banks and all other creditors. Why do the Banks not take my money. It will help them to save Jet Airways if nothing else."
The embattled liquor baron also mentioned that, "I invested over Rs 4,000 crore into Kingfisher Airlines to save the Company and its employees. Not recognised and instead slammed in every possible way. The same PSU Banks let India’s finest airline with the best employees and connectivity fail ruthlessly. Double standards under NDA."
Jet has been witnessing a bruising pageant from the cheap airways, fluctuating crude prices and susceptible rupee. The airline, which is in massive debt, has to pay off money to banks, lessors and suppliers besides clearing pending salaries to its pilots.
Mallya is currently going through going through extradition to India from the UK.
Last month Mallya, who is sought after in India on alleged fraud and money laundering fees amounting to an estimated Rs nine,000 crore, had filed his utility in the UK High Court, searching for permission to enchantment in opposition to an extradition order signed through the British Home Secretary.
