Hubballi: Members of the BJP and Congress in the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation heaved a sigh of relief after the federal government transferred HDMC commissioner Siddalingayya Hiremath to the public instruction division as further commissioner, Dharwad.
Shakeel Ahmed, commissioner, Belagavi Urban Development Authority, replaces him and he’s expected to take charge on Thursday.
Hiremath assumed place of business as HDMC commissioner in 2015. His paintings didn’t cross down well with the BJP, which regulations the HDMC, and some Congress contributors as they accused him of not releasing budget adequately for ward building.
Hiremath invited the wrath of corporators for not sanctioning bills of contractors and reportedly not co-operating with them to execute paintings. Hiremath also landed in an argument after he filed a criticism towards suggest Nargund, accusing him of trespassing his professional residence. Advocates boycotted court docket complaints in Hubballi and Dharwad seeking his switch. His disciplined nature antagonized corporators and contractors. He also curbed contractors misusing budget by doing low-quality paintings.”
Mayor Sudhir Saraf mentioned: “Congress and BJP contributors joined fingers, seeking his switch. We don’t have a non-public grudge, but we handiest demanded that he be well mannered with corporators and sanction budget for ward building.”
