Bopanna and Roger-Vasselin reach French Open quarters

PARIS: India's Rohan Bopanna and Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin, the 13th seeds within the males's doubles draw, stunned top-seeds Poland's Lukasz Kubot and Brazil's Marcelo Melo within the third-round of the French Open.

The Indo-French pairing came thru 6-4, 7-6 (7-1) in 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrange a quarterfinal meeting with eighth seeds Austria's Alexander Peya and Nikola Mektic.


Bopanna, who started his clay court docket campaign with a semifinal effort in Monte Carlo, did little of word within the different four tournaments.
