LUDHIANA: A 7-year-old boy used to be killed and his two cousins injured after a pillar of a memorial collapsed on them in New Ambedkar Nagar, Giaspura, past due on Friday night time.
Locals rushed the children to a nearby sanatorium, where Lovekush succumbed. Akash, 10, and Azad, eight are undergoing treatment.
“The youngsters had tied a dupatta with the memorial gate and had been swinging when the gate and its supporting pillar got here down. The pillar fell on all 3 youngsters. On listening to their screams, residents rushed to the spot and took them to a sanatorium,” stated Kangwal police post in-charge assistant sub-inspector Joginder Singh.
Lovekush’s father, Rakesh Kumar, has refused to get his son’s autopsy exam carried out. Lovekush used to be the youngest of his four youngsters, the SHO added.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings beneath Section 174 of the CrPC.
