KALYAN: A 30-year-old man from Dombivli has been booked for allegedly assaulting his spouse with a cricket bat after she took part in a dance all over a cultural tournament at their son’s school.
On January 19, when the lady, Alpa Kalokhe (25), got house from the function, her husband began abusing her for participating within the dance. A few days earlier, they had quarrelled after Alpa had stated she wanted to take part within the tournament. Sunil didn't want her to take part.
Last week, all over the battle resumed as Alpa had defied Sunil. During their argument, he took a cricket bat and assaulted Alpa who suffered serious injuries to the top, palms and legs.
The police stated Sunil had assaulted Alpa in the past. He has been booked, stated senior police inspector Rajendra Mungekar.
