Chennai: Bruised child rescued from adoptive parents

CHENNAI: A four-year-old girl kid with bruises and branding marks on her frame used to be rescued from her adoptive parents at Mandaiveli on Tuesday by kid welfare committee (CWC) officers and despatched to an orphanage within the town. Police are wondering the parents and the child will go through an in depth clinical examination to decide the level and reason for her accidents.
The kid had bruises on her left cheek, accidents on each hands and a branding mark on her left leg.

The couple, natives of West Bengal, had adopted the child from a government-run centre in Kolkata simply three months in the past. Her accidents were spotted by a group from the child adoption resource authority (CARA) that visited her house on one among its per 30 days inspections. The guy is a techie working with a Chennai company.


The CARA group knowledgeable CWC officers who rescued the child. They took the child to the Don Bosco Anbu Illam for orphanage and rescued kids in Chennai Central.The kid will probably be taken to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital and in response to the clinical record and a CWC grievance, the town police would determined find out how to proceed in opposition to the couple.


A police officer stated, "We are waiting for the medical report from the GH. A woman police officer has been assigned to question the couple based on the preliminary complaint lodged by the CWC."


An investigation officer stated, "We will register a case against the couple based on the inquiry and medical report."
