Dharwad building collapse: Death toll mounts to 4

DHARWAD: Death toll within the construction collapse incident at Dharwad went up to 4 on Wednesday morning whilst 73 extra NDRF staff from Ghaziabad joined the rescue operations at the website online.


Speaking to journalists, District Collector Deepa Cholan stated, "As many as 53 persons have been rescued till Wednesday morning. A group of 35 NDRF staff from Bengaluru joined within the aid works Tuesday past due night and persevered till Wednesday morning. Now 73 NDRF staff, who arrived from Ghaziabad, have joined the rescue operation. Rescue groups are in touch with 4 persons who are trapped under the particles. Operation has been intensified and we are hanging all possible efforts to rescue the trapped other folks.”


Meanwhile, NDRF is sporting out rescue paintings with complicated equipments. Three tunnels have been dug up to convey out the trapped persons.


District Surgeon Dr Giridhar Kuknoor stated that a general of 13 injured persons have been shifted to SDM Hospital in Dharwad and KIMS in Hubballi.
