Local RTI activist writes to EC for removal of flex boards

Ludhiana: In order to promote eco-friendly subject matter amongst applicants in MP elections, city-based RTI activist Rohit Sabharwal has written a letter to the executive election commissioner in New Delhi on Tuesday. In this letter, he has given a reference of the Kerala top court’s orders for elimination of unauthorized PVC flex forums throughout the limits of various local government.

Further, the Kerala HC also ordered that every one applicants and national/state political parties will have to strictly adhere to the aforequoted pointers of the Election Commission, in order that handiest eco-friendly materials are used all the way through the election campaign, and there's no use of PVC flex forums and other such non bio-degradable materials as campaign subject matter in Kerala.


Sabharwal stated those orders were pronounced via Kerala HC in regard to a PIL filed via a citizen in quest of prohibition in the use of poly vinyl chloride (PVC) flex forums — a key source of pollution — within the coming near near Lok Sabha election, via political parties and applicants.
