Three booked for endangering lives

Vadodara: A week after a three-storey building had collapsed near Jubileebaug in Raopura, an offence was once registered against its contractor and two homeowners of the neighbouring land where the root of a brand new building was once being dug.
The FIR was once registered at Karelibaug police station at the basis of the appliance given through Deepak Banani who had his garments store at the floor floor of the collapsed building.

Banani has alleged that when the two homeowners of the neighbouring land – Setul Gandhi and Ritesh Gandhi – had began digging foundation for a brand new building, he had warned the duo and the contractor Lalabhai to not dig too deep and provide strengthen to his building. Setul and Ritesh, who are brothers, had demolished the original structure at the land and were making plans to construct a industrial building.


Banani informed police that because the accused didn't heed to his warning and endured with their building job, the building collapsed and he suffered heavy losses. According to Banani’s claims, garments worth Rs 50 lakh in his store and in the godown at the upper flooring were utterly lost. The criticism additionally said that the wear caused to furniture, apparatus and the building value him Rs 42 lakh.


Police stated that they have registered a case of endangering life and personal protection and inflicting damages, but not one of the accused has been arrested.
