HUBBALLI: Citizens for Democracy (CFD) in affiliation with different like-minded organisations will improve applicants of progressive and secular organisations in the normal elections, stated CFD president S R Hiremath.
Hiremath stated on Tuesday that the will of the hour was to elect applicants who are dedicated to the reason for progressive, secular and democratic principles to keep and conserve the social material of the country that was beneath attack all over the 5 years of NDA govt led by means of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“CFD objectives at selling an alternate political system to the existing system marred by means of corruption and communalism. As part of its efforts, CFD and different like-minded organisations will attempt to sensitise and teach citizens regarding the wish to elect just right applicants. We will improve applicants of different organisations with progressive and secular leanings in numerous constituencies and campaign for them,” stated Hiremath.
In Dharwad and four different parliamentary constituencies, CFD will improve applicants of the Socialist Unity Centre of India – Communist (SUCI-C), he added. He also appealed citizens to vote for Gangadhar Badiger, the SUCI-C candidate from Dharwad.
To a query, Hiremath stated CFD would campaign in opposition to sitting Bengaluru Rural MP D Okay Suresh and applicants with communal backgrounds in different constituencies.
“The Jan Sankalpa Sabha on Crisis in Democracy and Responsibility of Civil Society held at Dharwad on March 31 has resolved to carry out a two pronged strategy including setting up Paryaya Janandolana (a folks’s motion) and Paryaya Rajakeeya (alternative politics) throughout the framework of the constitution. A memorandum on this connection has been submitted to President Ramnath Kovind,” Hiremath stated.
