AGRA: An afternoon prior to the second segment of polling for the Lok Sabha elections, Mathura police arrested two persons with a bevy of illegal hands on Tuesday night time from Mudseras village, situated at Rajasthan border.
According to police, 10 pistols, 5 of them country-made, and 83 live cartridges have been recovered from the suspects, Irfan Khan and Jahul Khan, who hail from Hathiya village of Barsana.
Mathura SSP Satyarth Aniruddh Pankaj said that two bike-borne youths have been intercepted right through car checking round 7pm on Tuesday and so they have been found sporting a sack of illegal hands. Both the accused have been booked beneath related sections of the IPC.
Police said investigations have been on to ascertain source and supply of the hands and ammunition.
