Wire pierces man's chest on Signature Bridge

NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old man died after a metal twine from Signature Bridge broke off and pierced his chest when he was once returning home on his motorcycle early Thursday.

The body of the person, Pranav Mishra, was once discovered mendacity close to the divider. He was once later known from the insurance papers of his motorcycle. The police initially suspected it to be a hit-and-run case.


After a probe, it was once discovered that the metal twine had pierced him whilst he was once going against Wazirabad. Family participants advised the police that he had called his mother and asked her to serve meals, and mentioned he's going to achieve in 20 mins. However, when he did not turn up, they started in search of him.


A case of inflicting demise due to negligence has been registered. Police mentioned the twine could have loosened on account of construction paintings happening on probably the most pillars of the bridge coupled with sturdy winds.


Contractors and labourers working on the pillar are being wondered.
