Keshav Prasad Maurya slams Bareilly DM for FB post on Kasganj violence

ALLAHABAD: Deputy leader minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Tuesday stated Bareilly DM Raghvendra Vikkram Singh's FB put up on Kasganj clashes "looks like statements issued by spokesman of a political party".

The DM had post a FB put up mentioning the recent spiritual clashes in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj in his FB put up on Sunday. He requested why it has grow to be a "trend" for some to first "enter Muslim localities by force, raise anti-Pakistan slogans and then create ruckus". However, he later deleted the put up.


"The DM has no right to put up such posts. The state government will take cognizance of the issue and necessary action will be initiated accordingly," Maurya instructed newshounds on the concluding rite of 'Samutkarsha' on Parade flooring in Magh mela house. Samutkarsha was once organised through RSS's education wing Vidya Bharti for hundreds of its lady scholars.


Maurya added that the "state government is maintaining a strict watch on post Kasganj developments and all those responsible for arson and anarchy will not be spared".


"No one will be allowed to insult or oppose the national flag in the state. The government will take all necessary action to check such incidents," he stated.


Referring to a query whether or not the Kasganj factor was once being politicised, Maurya stated, "There should be no politics on Kasganj episode. The government is capable of giving a befitting reply to those trying to do politics on the issue."
