SBI hikes bulk deposit rates for second time in 2 months

MUMBAI: In the second one such revision in as many months, the country's largest lender State Bank on Tuesday hiked hobby on bulk deposits of over Rs 10 crore through as much as 140 basis issues.
The financial institution had closing raised deposit charges, revisions on which typically precede equivalent moves on the lending side, through as much as 1 percentage point in November. At least, 3 banks have already hiked their lending charges earlier this month.

The deposit charge revisions are effective right away, the financial institution mentioned in a statement.
