Justice Shukla not attending court, says HC registrar

ALLAHABAD: Amid stories that Justice Narayan Shukla of the Allahabad High Court was indicted by an in-house inquiry committee that probed allegations towards him in the Medical Council of India (MCI) admission rip-off case and had proceeded on a 90-day leave finally judicial paintings had been withdrawn from him, registrar general Mohd Faiz Alam Khan confirmed on Wednesday that Justice Shukla had stopped coming to court docket.
Khan, then again, refused touch upon stories of "withdrawal of judicial work" from Justice Shukla and his "90-day leave". He said at the most he may simplest say that Justice Shukla is not coming to the top court docket. The top court docket did not free up any reputable conversation regarding either withdrawal of labor from Justice Shukla or his leave.

Justice Shukla was under probe for allegations of overruling restraint orders passed by the Supreme Court on August 29, 2017, to permit GCRG Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, to admit students for the 2017-18 instructional 12 months. He had allegedly made handwritten corrections on September four to his personal bench's order of September 1 to permit this medical faculty to admit students for the 2017-18 instructional consultation.

However, on November 23, the Supreme Court had passed a last order in the case pointing out that the High Court did not show judicial propriety and ordered GCRG Institute of Medical Sciences to pay Rs 10 lakh to each and every pupil who had taken admission with the exception of refunding their charges. A superb of Rs 25 lakh was also imposed by the Supreme Court at the medical faculty, which had been debarred by the MCI for plenty of deficiencies.


The in-house inquiry committee comprised Madras High Court Chief Justice Indira Banerjee, Sikkim High Court Chief Justice S Ok Agnihotri and Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice P Ok Jaiswal.
