ALLAHABAD: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, on Monday, stated that former leader minister Akhilesh Yadav was the closing leader minister from Samajwadi Party and there was no chance of Congress’s return to prominence in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Talking to TOI in Allahabad on Monday, the former Phulpur MP stated, “Akhilesh Yadav SP ke antim shashak the” (Akhilesh Yadav is the closing UP leader minister from Samajawadi Party).

Maurya stated that Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) candidate for the Phulpur bypoll Kaushalendra Singh Patel would win upcoming byelection because the party had fielded a ‘devoted employee’.

“Even a small employee of the party may just achieve the very best publish and for BJP each party employee is a concern,” he added.

Answering a question about an ‘outsider’ being given a party price ticket for the Phulpur bypoll, Maurya stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had contested the parliamentary election from Varanasi despite being from Gujarat. Any party employee may just contest the Lok sabha polls from any place across the country.”

Maurya added that Patel was no longer aware about the truth that he would be announced because the party’s candidate from the Phulpur bypoll.


Patel was made incharge for the Gorakhpur constituency bypoll however was later declared the BJP candidate from Phulpur.


Maurya stated, “I'm really not any person who promotes his family. I handiest deal with the party’s workers.”


“I have promised the general public of Prayag that the area would witness total development and I'm true to my words.”
