Delhi dust storm: Ambulance fire kills two


NEW DELHI: Two men have been charred to dying and another person was severely injured when an ambulance caught hearth in Delhi during the dust storm on Monday night.


Police mentioned they received a call regarding the incident around 12.30am soon after which a team was rushed to the spot and two men have been discovered useless within the ambulance. This ambulance was parked in between two other ambulances, either one of which too caught hearth due to the dust storm.

The deceased persons have been known as Rahul (24) and Guddu (25). Rahul was a resisent of Uttar Pradesh whereas Gudda belonged to Khanpur house. Both of them have been sleeping on the rear seat of the ambulance when the fire broke out. The third victim who received 90 in step with cent burns was known as Subodh Kumar (40). Police mentioned his situation is alleged to be volatile and is not worthy to provide remark.


DCP (south) Romil Baaniya mentioned they've registered a case against unknown persons on the Malviya Nagar police station and investigations in the case were taken up.


CFSL team has been requested to check up on the SOC to find out the reason for hearth, mentioned the DCP.


The postmortem of the deceased is being conducted on the AIIMS.
