CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) is going all out to stop the entry of banned plastic products into the state. It has tied up with the industrial taxes department and gross sales tax department, and has amassed information on conceivable vehicles that may input the state in the course of the 29 inter-state checkposts.

“We’ve been operating with gross sales tax for more than a month. After the introduction of GST, manufacturers must post e-way bills wherein items that are being transported must be declared. The board has issued felony notices to round 1,400 plastic manufacturing gadgets throughout Tamil Nadu.
