PATIALA: Kunwar Devinder Singh, younger son of overdue Maharaja of Patiala Bhupinder Singh gave up the ghost at his residence at Patiala on Sunday night. He used to be 83. Kunwar Devinder, the paternal uncle of Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, had not been holding neatly for the last three hundred and sixty five days. He is survived through his wife, son and daughter.
His wife Amarjit Kaur is a former member of Rajya Sabha and daughter of Col Raghbir Singh.
Following his death, his son, who lives in US and daughter, who is in Australia, were on their way to Patiala. Kunwar Devinder Singh used to be an alumni of Bishop Cotton college, Shimla and an impressive sportsperson of his times. He used to be a contemporary of Virbhadra Singh, former chief minister of Himachal Pradesh. His cremation could be introduced after the arriving of his kids at Patiala.
