BHUBANESWAR: The Crime Branch has evolved an ordinary working process (SOP) that police workforce will have to apply to prevent little one labour and trafficking within the state.
Crime Branch, which is the nodal agency in Odisha to oversee police investigations into offences, mentioned the superintendents of police (SPs) were requested to launch special drives in opposition to little one traffickers.
Last year, 55 youngsters have been trafficked for little one labour within the state, police sources mentioned.
The Crime Branch, in its round to SPs, mentioned there has been a upward push within the development of employing youngsters in different places of work and houses.
"We have asked policemen in districts to strengthen the intelligence network and gather information about child traffickers. All police stations have been asked to register FIRs and submit prosecution reports in courts," mentioned director normal of police R P Sharma.
