GUWAHATI: The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT-G) and the University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together on rural era and rural construction to verify 100% literacy and healthcare amenities in villages decided on by means of both the establishments.
The MoU was once signed by means of IIT-G director Gautam Biswas and USTM chancellor Mahbubul Hoque within the presence of a number of deans, UTSM vice-chancellor RK Sharma, and pro vice-chancellor Alaka Sarma.
IIT-G director Biswas mentioned the agreement is a step ahead to combine the premier institute with Assam in addition to its neighbouring states via social and educational outreach programmes. USTM chancellor Hoque expressed hope that the MoU will create a bond for cooperation between IIT-G and USTM.
According to the pact, IIT-G will supply school support to USTM and host USTM students for attending particular categories.
