GURUGRAM: An unidentified guy has threatened to bomb State Bank of India’s Sector 23 branch and kidnap its supervisor it appears for refusing to transfer Rs 8.five lakh from the account of an automobile broker to that of an individual.
Aditi, the executive of the SBI branch in Sector 23, alleged that she won a letter from an unknown guy a pair days ago, threatening to transfer or even kidnap her if she did not follow his instructions.
“I need you to transfer Rs 8,50,000 to the account (of Akash Chourasia). Otherwise, you get your self transferred from this position. If the money is not transferred, your Sector 23 branch might be bombed soon, possibly subsequent week. You may even be abducted. So transfer the money as according to my instruction. Your well-wisher Pasco Gurugram,” learn the danger letter.
In her grievance to police, Aditi additional stated an official at her branch had won a call from a mobile number on March nine and the caller claimed to be the owner of Pasco Automobiles, a automobile broker. The caller then requested the financial institution official to transfer Rs 8.five lakh from the account of Pasco to the account of Akash Chourasia. He promised to ship a cheque for the same quantity to the branch soon.
“We had transferred the quantity initially. But when despite our repeated calls the cheque was once not deposited, we reversed the whole quantity from Chourasia’s account the similar day. Later, we won a letter through post, in which any person threatened to bomb the branch,” the financial institution supervisor instructed the police.
An FIR has been registered towards an unidentified person below Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC at Palam Vihar police station. “We have put the mobile number below surveillance and sought details of the 2 financial institution accounts in query,” stated inspector Vikram Nehra, SHO, Palam Vihar police station. When contacted, Aditi refused to proportion any information about the incident. Pasco officials could not be contacted for any remark.
