It's learnt that Sindhu's mom used to be allowed to enter the Village however Saina's father used to be denied entry.
Upset through this Saina tweeted, "Surprised to see that when we started for CWG 2018 my father was confirmed as the team official and I paid the whole amount for that but when we came to the games village his name was cut from the team official category.. and he can't even stay with me. he can't come to my matches and he can't enter the village nor he can meet me in anyway...what kind of support is this..I wanted his support as I regularly take him for my competitions...but I didn't understand why nobody informed me all this earlier...that he can't enter anywhere".
When TOI contacted an legit of the Indian contingent in Gold Coast, he said that the issue might be sorted out through Wednesday. "We were surprised about the whole issue. As far as I know the mistake is from the Indian side. We were told that the issue would be sorted out by tomorrow," the legit said.
The govt declined to pay for the parents of the two ace shuttlers. However, for most tournaments Saina and Sindhu foot the bill for his or her folks.
