KOLKATA: A 53-year-old guy was arrested from SSKM Hospital for allegedly posing as a physician and looking to admit a affected person in change of cash.
Partha Mukherjee, a resident of Kalyani, had allegedly met the affected person’s kinfolk at a health facility in Bangalore, where he offered himself as a physician from SSKM Hospital and claimed that he may just get him admitted at the health facility for Rs 10,000.
On Thursday, the kinfolk took the affected person to the health facility in an ambulance. Mukherjee accompanied them to the admission table and demanded the affected person to be admitted on his advice.
The docs present at the spot became suspicious and informed police who took Mukherjee to the room of the health facility superintendent where he claimed to be a physician of Anatomy at the health facility.
When the pinnacle of the dep. refuted the declare, Mukherjee stated he was a practicing physician with a Kalyani health facility.
“We checked with the Kalyani health facility too and located that he was no longer registered there. Hence, we arrested him with quick impact. Now, he claims himself to be a physiotherapist,” stated an officer of Bhowanipore police station.
