DLF 3 residents hit by long power cuts

GURUGRAM: After most effective three days of the ability discom announcing set up of 17 more transformers, residents of DLF 3 complained of an influence disaster within the space.

Residents stated on Thursday, outages became critical as they slightly got power for a few hours during the day.

Residents also stated that their transformer changed into dysfunctional after a blast on Thursday afternoon. “We didn’t have electrical energy because the morning,” Parakaram, a resident, informed TOI. “We misplaced power supply at 8am. It resumed from 12pm to 2pm, but then there was a noisy noise and the transformer malfunctioned,” he added.

Notably, discom officials had recently informed TOI that many DLF areas in Gurugram will get 17 new high-capacity transformers to weather the increased power call for and curb fluctuations and close downs.

Officials stated they have approved the set up of 10 transformers of 500 kV and seven of 530 kV. But residents stated the ability supply situation was getting worse by the day. “There are such a lot of power cuts happening on a daily basis. We don’t understand what the real drawback is,” stated Kumail, every other resident.


Discom officials admitted that they had of overdue registered a sequence of faults within the space. ‘Since June 5, now we have been recording a lot of faults,” an legit stated. “At first, a fault occurred on an 11 kV DLF feeder cable on June 5. Then again on some underground lines.”
