Pension-seeker uses rat snake to cut red-tape

Hubballi: Enraged on the extend in sanctioning his pension, Mabusab Rajekhan, 68, decided to use a snake to strike concern amongst officers in Ron, Gadag, on Friday. Rajekhan, a leprosy affected person, were soliciting for sub-treasury officers to sanction his Rs 1,200 per thirty days pension.

On Friday morning, he stuck a Four-foot-long rat snake and slung it around his neck.


As he entered the place of work, he advised the staff to clear his pending report and threatened to let free the reptile on them. Panic-stricken staff members fled the place of work.


Finally, in-charge officer Ullagaddi convinced him that his report would be cleared in 2-Three days. Meanwhile, Kumar, a health division legit, who frequently gave Rajekhan medications, persuaded him to release the snake. He then took him house, a hut on the outskirts of town. TNn
