Mangaluru: A drunken brawl ended in a 75-year-old guy killing his son-in-law in Baditutte, Bantwal taluk, on Saturday.
Police arrested the accused Mutthu Poojary who murdered Rajaram, 50, through the usage of a chisel. Rajaram, a local of Mudigere in Chikkamagaluru district, was once staying in his partner's father’s space. The two labored as carpenters and had been addicted to alcohol. There was once widespread quarrel between the two in inebriated state.
The duo were given under the influence of alcohol on Saturday morning and began quarrelling when other members of the family had been away. In the fit of rage, Mutthu attacked Rajaram. The victim won critical accidents to his head and abdomen and died instantly. The incident happened between 8am and noon. Neighbours alerted police concerning the incident.
Rajaram is survived through his spouse and 3 daughters. The eldest daughter is married.
A case has been registered at Bantwal Rural police station.
