CHARMINAR: Octogenarian Ameena Bee has been operating from pillar to submit for over two years, knocking each and every babu’s workplace door — all in favour of a work of land of 300 square yards granted to her son Syed Ismail Uddin who died all the way through the 1971 Indo-Pakistan conflict.
“My son has sacrificed his existence combating against Pakistan all the way through the 1971 conflict. I would like the state executive to consider of his sacrifice for the country and ensure allotment of the land immediately,” wailed 80-year-old Ameena Bee, creating a fervent attraction to chief minister Ok Chandrasekhar Rao. Though the land used to be allotted (GO No 92 dated May 30, 2005) by means of the Golconda mandal workplace government, Ismail’s family is yet to get possession.
Umpteen pleas to the government and rounds to the places of work of Hyderabad district collector, chief commissioner of land management (CCLA) and mandal earnings officer have yielded valuable little to Ameena, who is living in Mohammadi Line. The sainik welfare workplace had beneficial to the collector’s workplace for allotment of 300 square yards — both in Hyderabad and Secunderabad — to the family of Ismail for his valour.
Syed Ismail belonged to 162 Fd Regt (field regiment) and died on December 18, 1971, in a section medical institution after coming under air strikes in Bari on December 17 whilst returning to the command submit from accountability.
As the agonised mother continues to run across the places of work to get justice for her martyr-son, Syed Habeebuddin, more youthful brother of Ismail, advised TOI that the government involved have, time and again, turned a blind eye to their pleas. “My mother had carried out for 300 square yards as sought by means of the government and the related GO used to be issued way back in 2005. But the GO used to be altered later and a contemporary GO (No 571 dated September 14, 2012) used to be issued and the report sent to the CCLA,” Habeebuddin said.
Recalling that six years had lapsed since GO 571 used to be issued, he questioned how long should they wait or make the rounds to the places of work to get the land allotted. “The land used to be known in Ibrahim Bagh by means of the Golconda mandal workplace government. Why can’t the officials simply give up the land as a substitute of forcing us to move from one workplace to another,” he questioned.
Holding again his tears, Habeebuddin sought to know if a conflict hero will get the sort of uncooked deal what will be the plight of commoners. “My mother has waited a ways too long to get the land. Will the government be sympathetic to a martyr mother’s agony,” he said.
