2 GHMC staff, court employee caught taking bribe

HYDERABAD: Two GHMC workers and a box assistant within the city civil courtroom were caught by means of sleuths of ACB on Tuesday for demanding and accepting bribes in two other instances.


In the first example, M Satyanarayana, tax inspector in Khairatabad (circle 13), and K Charan, report assistant and invoice collector, were nabbed when they took 8,000 and five,000 respectively for processing a tax assessment document. ACB officials stepped in after Syed Abdul approached them with a compliant in opposition to the GHMC officials for demanding the bribe to procedure his tax assessment document.


In the second case, M Krishna Naik, box assistant within the city courtroom, was caught accepting 35,000 from complainant Arif Mohiuddin to extend execution of an eviction warrant issued in opposition to him.


During a wonder raid, wooded area range officer of Nizamabad Dharavath Ramraj was caught for accepting 24,000 from Mohammed Zia-ul-Haq and Shabir Ahmed, managers of 2 saw generators and a timber depot, for processing transit allow in their generators. The managers were booked for providing a bribe under Prevention of Corruption Act.
