PUNE: As many as 30 students of Euro School, Wakad, gained switch certificates on Monday for non-payment of charges.
The oldsters alleged that the college despatched the switch certificates as they'd hostile the fees hike.
“We were conserving discussions with the college government on the charges issue and have requested them to justify the hike. Without any justification and sufficient representation from oldsters, the college hiked the fees and the fogeys have been requested to pay in full,” they claimed.
Many oldsters paid the fees quantity based on previous year and withheld the amount which was once hiked. Parents said that those that didn't pay the full quantity have been issued the switch certificates.
Only a few days back, Amanora School, Hadapsar, had issued switch certificates for non-payment of charges.
A commentary issued by means of the spokesperson of Euro School said, “The charges charged were approved as in keeping with the procedure set out in The Maharashtra (Regulation of Fee) Act, 2011 (Fee Regulation Act). The above truth is proved past doubt by means of the letters issued by means of the PCMC government and the deputy director of education, based on an inquiry by means of a group of PCMC government, who vide their file dated March 16, 2018, concluded that the fees building up was once as in keeping with the norms.”
It said not one of the oldsters agitating against the college had youngsters in the 25% quota of under privileged youngsters under the RTE Act. “Only a handful of oldsters are raising frivolous and unsubstantiated complaints,” it said.
