NEW DELHI: A 35-year-old Nigerian nationwide used to be thrashed through locals allegedly for manhandling two visitors constables who had stopped him at Dwarka Mor for using a two-wheeler without dressed in a helmet, police said on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Monday at around 10.45am.
Two visitors constables Ajay and Guarav, who were on accountability, noticed the Nigerian named Prince approaching his scooter without dressed in helmet.
He used to be stopped through them and asked to turn paperwork. But he attempted to forcefully break out, a senior police officer said.
An argument broke out between them and Prince allegedly manhandled the two officials at the spot, the officer added.
A crowd collected and began thrashing Prince.
The whole incident used to be recorded through a passerby, the officer said.
Meanwhile, the visitors officials informed police and the Nigerian nationwide used to be then taken to Mohan Garden police station where a case used to be registered in line with the grievance of the visitors staff.
