Railway may contemplate deploying guards at unmanned crossing

NAGPUR: Central reserve police pressure’s (CRPF) head constable Maya Dhiman’s loss of life in a train mishap at the unmanned railway crossing at Rajiv Nagar, on Sunday, has now impelled the government to take corrective actions.
The deploying of guards at the unmanned crossing seems to be one certain result of the tragic loss of life.

Divisional railway supervisor, south east central railway Shobhana Bandopadhyay argued towards the products train being driven with out mild or even whistling because it approached the unmanned railway crossing.


“We have already referred to as for an inquiry to be performed and documenting the incident. In long term, we will check out to make sure the guards are deployed however in that case we would require to back them up with communication and different helps too,” she said.


Bandopadhyay also said that railways are now trying to find puts the place degree crossings are not being manned or any other lacunas are present.
