VADODARA: A city-based crew rescued two crocodiles from a village close to Halol in Panchmahal district on Monday. The crocodiles had strayed into a residential space of the village.
The citizens of Sarnej village have been complaining to the Wildlife Rescue Trust that crocodiles have been straying into residential spaces there since the previous few days. The believe got a choice in this regard again on Monday evening and rushed to the village.
Volunteers first rescued a 7.5-foot crocodile from the village. They then came to find out about some other crocodile in the space and rescued it too. The second crocodile was once around 5.5feet lengthy. The crocodiles were brought to Vadodara and were passed over to the woodland department.
According to the organisation, this is the nesting period of crocodiles and so they lay eggs on land. In search of a suitable place to put eggs, the crocodiles ceaselessly stray into farms or residential spaces.
