NEW DELHI: The CBI on Tuesday adverse grant of bail to RJD leader Lalu Prasad and instructed the Supreme Court that he may just now not be fit for electioneering when he had spent most of the time in health facility despite being cumulatively sentenced to 27 years in prison after being convicted in 4 fodder rip-off instances.

“Lalu, who claimed to be so unwell that he may just now not remain in jail and had to be hospitalised, all of sudden claims to be totally fit and seeks bail to hold out election campaign for his celebration as president of RJD within the Lok Sabha elections,” the CBI said.
The agency said Lalu, as leader minister of one of the most country’s greatest states, used to be discovered in charge of misappropriating Rs 75.48 crore in 4 fodder rip-off instances and used to be present process trial in two other instances involving misappropriation of Rs 139.45 crore. “Grant of any relief to Lalu won't most effective be towards the ‘0 tolerance policy’ on corruption of the Supreme Court but will also set a very mistaken precedent for all corruption instances,” it added.
