Thiruvananthapuram: The town police on Tuesday arrested three persons thinking about an armed theft. Abin alias Mankannan (23) of Pravachambalam, Akash (21) of Manali and Mithun alias Sambhu (22), of Panayam near Nedumangad, were arrested via the Fort police on fees of armed theft at Putharikkandom. The accused allegedly robbed a gold chain weighing three.75 sovereigns, a mobile phone and Rs 500 from one Gokul of Pappanamcode during the early hours of Tuesday.
In another incident, Mannanthala police arrested Nelson (23) of Vanchiyoor on fees of snatching the gold chain of a lady dwelling at Anupama Nagar near Nalanchira. He allegedly snatched her chain on Monday round 9pm as the complainant got down from a bus at Nalanchira.
Vanchiyoor police also arrested Arun (20) of Kovilvilakom near Pettah after he allegedly snatched the gold chain of a lady at Ayanikkadu Lane near Vanchiyoor on Monday afternoon. TNN
